What is airport meet and greet?
A local greeter meets you at a confirmed point in the airport and guides you through the airport process for your arrival, departure or connection.
Does meet and greet include fast track through immigration?
Not automatically. Fast track, priority security, lounge access, porters and transfers are only included where clearly listed on the service details.
Is my booking confirmed immediately?
Most services are booked as a request. We check availability with our local provider and send a personalised quote before payment. A request is not a confirmed booking until you receive our confirmation.
Who provides the service?
Touchdown China arranges services through independent local providers at each airport. We are your point of contact before and during your trip.
Do you need my passport details?
No. We only ask for the information needed to arrange your service, such as your name, contact details and flight details.
What if my flight is delayed?
Delay and waiting-time terms are shown for each service once confirmed. Please share any changes to your flight details.
Can you guarantee how long immigration will take?
No. Queue times and immigration decisions are outside our control. Our greeters help you through the process but cannot guarantee timings.
Shanghai Pudong International Airport (PVG)
Is Pudong the same as Hongqiao?
No. They are two separate airports in Shanghai. Pudong (PVG) handles most long-haul international flights; Hongqiao (SHA) is mainly domestic and regional.
Can you help if I fly into Pudong and out of Hongqiao?
Changing airports needs a separate arrangement. Please send us an enquiry with both flights and we'll tell you what we can arrange.
Which terminal will I arrive at?
Your airline determines the terminal. If you're not sure, leave it blank when booking and we'll confirm it with you.
Shanghai Hongqiao International Airport (SHA)
Do international flights use Hongqiao?
A limited number of regional international routes do, but most long-haul flights use Pudong (PVG).
Can you meet me if I'm continuing by high-speed train?
Tell us your train details in the notes when you book an arrival and we'll confirm what assistance is possible.
Beijing Capital International Airport (PEK)
My ticket says Beijing — which airport is it?
Check the three-letter code: PEK is Capital, PKX is Daxing. If unsure, contact us with your flight number.
Can I connect between Capital and Daxing?
This requires changing airports. Please make an enquiry and we'll advise on the options.
Beijing Daxing International Airport (PKX)
Is Daxing far from central Beijing?
It is south of the city. The Daxing Airport Express provides a rail link towards the centre.
Do you help with connections at Daxing?
Where both flights use Daxing, choose a connection service. For changes to PEK, please send an enquiry.
Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport (CAN)
Is it busier during trade fairs?
Guangzhou often sees peak traffic around major trade fair periods. We recommend booking well in advance.
Can you meet me for a domestic arrival?
Yes, select Arrival and choose a domestic flight type when booking. We'll confirm availability.
